If you’re like me you sometimes wonder how you’re going to cover all your bills at the end of the month b/c you blew alittle bit of your paycheck on something unexpected. It happens to all of us. The American Express prepaid credit card can really help with that.
Here’s how it works, first you load it with how ever much you want to. So say you have money budgeted for going out to eat, clothing or fun stuff go ahead and load it onto the card and then when it’s gone, it’s gone and you haven’t dipped into your mortgage or rent money. It can really help to keep you on track of where your money is going and how much your spending. One really neat idea I had with the card is that if you have a trip planned out in the future load the money you are saving onto the card. Do it every month until your trip is ready to take and then just use the card. You could do the same thing and save up for Christmas presents. Having it ready on one card, where you’re not going into debt is enough to be a great Christmas gift for you and keep you from going overboard!
You can use the card at lots of stores, online and at atms. You can keep reloading it over and over again so it really is great for monthly budgets. If you have teenagers or college age kids that need a little help learning to budget this would be a great tool for them to use. They feel like they have a credit card like all their friends, but unlike their friends, they can’t get in trouble with it. It’s a great card to have as a learning tool for them and you.
The American Express Prepaid Card has no recurring fees. Unlike many other prepaid cards, you keep more of your money in your wallet—where it belongs. It also has no annual, monthly or customer fees and since you can’t overdraw it there are no fees for that either!
You can load the card easily online or buy a moneypak at a store and load the card that way. So if you need help budgeting, no someone else who does are think it’s a great savings tool for a trip I would recommend you go check them out!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of American Express and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
