Review of Sunbow Sunscreen for Children

I don’t know about you but I put sunscreen on my children all year long. Maybe it’s because we live in the South or maybe b/c I’ve had one to many burns in my life.  We’ve nicknamed our kids the translucent children because they’re so pale.  That’s why I was so excited to be given the opportunity to review Sunbow Sunscreen for children. I was sent a spray bottle and rub-in bottle.  I’ve always loved the spray bottles the best but I have a friend who will only use the rub in kind better. She says she feels like her kids are more protected if she rubs it in herself.  I’m so glad they offer both options to give parents choices.

These bottles are so much fun with the characters like Diego, Dora and Sponge Bob.  My kids loved putting on their favorite friends!  What I loved was how kid-friendly these sunscreens are for children.  Both of mine were spf 30 but they do go up to spf 45.  They are water resistant, dries clear, non-staining, tear and PABA-free, hypoallergenic and pediatrician tested/approved. The sunscreen is also broad spectrum UVA/UVB protecting without containing chemical actives such as Oxybenzone or Octinoxate.

Both have a pleasant fragrance that isn’t overpowering.   Both were easy to apply and kept my kiddos from being burned. Not much more you can ask from a sunscreen. 🙂 So don’t forget to keep applying sunscreen to your kids year round.  Just because it gets cool doesn’t mean you should let your guard down. I would recommend checking out their page on sun-safety. It’s really informative!

You can purchase this awesome sunscreen online at their site, at BI-Lo pharmacies in SC and Kerr and Kirby Drug stores in NC.
