The kids got an activity table for Christmas and I couldn’t wait to start using it! So I decided to come up with a New Year’s Resolution craft that we could do. As always I wanted to keep it frugal and fun so I started looking around the house for supplies.
I first started a Word doc where I inserted images beside phrases I think the kids need to work on or goals they need to achieve this year. Here is a pdf version of what I created. My New Year’s Resolution. I think this would also make a great chore document. Just attach it to a weekly schedule and off you go.
Here are my supplies:
- Paper
- glitter (optional but what’s a project without glitter)
- glue or tape
- a hanger (I used a sparkly shimmer stick.)
- laminator – I laminated mine b/c I love to laminate and wanted it to last for the year
- scissors

So I printed off the goals and their main page and then discussed what a New Year’s resolution was. I had my kids pick out the goals they wanted to work on this year. My son put them in order of what he felt were the most important.
Then we glued them on the page and added glue drops everywhere for the glitter to stick too. Once it was just how the kids liked it we put it through the laminator.
I plan on talking about these goals weekly/monthly to keep them fresh in the kids minds and I think it will be fun at the end of next year to see how we did!
Let me know if you can’t open the pdf file. I wasn’t a 100% sure how to attach a printable to a post.

what a great idea! We are featuring this in the blog, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest today! Have a lovely weekend..
