Workout/Weight Loss Report

Workout/Weight Loss Report

As you know I’ve been trying to work my butt off – literally. I have trying to get down to 130 forever it seems. I have been running but unlike in the past when the weight came right off with running it was grudgingly staying with me. I purchased Chalene Extreme because I was watching my weight steadily go up and it HAD to stop. My clothes were no longer fitting very well and I was finding myself wearing my sweats alot more than I wanted to. The first month of CE and running I lost 3lbs. Not overwhelming but I was excited that the scale had started going lower rather than higher. I have been doing Chalene Extreme for 7 weeks. I do that 5 mornings a week, run 4 mornings and go on long bike rides on the weekend.  The past 2 weeks I have stalled out again and keep fluctuating between 11-13 lbs over my goal weight. Can I tell you how frustrating it’s been? Here I am busting my butt and working out over an hour most days, keeping track of what I eat and generally trying to make healthier choices and the weight isn’t falling off of me. What the heck? Honestly I was beginning to believe that I just had to live with my current weight and just try to make it as healthy as possible.

Today after lunch I just felt thinner. I studied my reflection in the mirror and didn’t see a real difference but it did seem like I was standing a little taller. I decided to brave the scale and stepped on.  I had lost over a pound and had finally broken the 10 pound mark that seemed so very elusive. So I only have 9.6lbs to go until I reach my goal weight!!! I’m totally stoked about this and finally feel like all my work is starting to pay off.

I’ve looked a little more closely at my diet to see if there is anything different and the things I see most different is the lack of red meat, the increase of veggies and the addition to Shakeology to my diet.  I first want to say that I’m a meat eater and could never go vegetarian but lately red meat has been making me just a touch queasy so I’ve been kind of staying away from it more than I normally do.  Also since it’s spring and veggies and fruits are coming back in season I’ve been eating more of them. I can’t get enough of cucumber and tomato sandwiches for lunch. This week I’ve also had a Shakeology for one of my meals 2 out of 3 days so far.  I’m suppose to be saving it for my Brazil Butt Lift Challenge group that starts Saturday but I was dying to see how it tasted so I broke it out early. My water intake is also way up.  So I’m not sure which one of these specific items is to thank or if it’s all  of them together but whatever it is I’m thankful. I feel energized and motivated again after seeing the scale.

Now that I’m under 10lbs I’m alittle afraid because I’m suppose to go out to eat with my husband and some of his clients for dinner at a Thai Restaurant.  I Googled healthy eating options for Thai and came up with alot of great articles so atleast I can make healthy choices.  Don’t let anything get in your way. Educating yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself when you’re trying to be healthy. Of course now that I’ve researched Thai we’ll probably go somewhere else. :)

So if you’re in a plateau don’t give up just keep plugging along and it will eventually work out!

  1. Ahhhh….I’ve been in the same boat. I’m trying to get to 130 and I work out so much, I try to watch what I eat…fallen off a little lately :/… but, I usually eat pretty healthy, but I just can’t lose these last 10 lbs. I go up a couple, then down a couple, up a couple, down a couple. It’s driving me crazy!! Good job breaking your plateau, Hopefully I will soon too.

It’s always nice to know you’re not alone and there are others with the same struggles. I know you’ll get there also! I keep hearing the last 10lbs are the hardest but that’s not very comforting. I’m hoping I’m done with the up and down but we’ll see. Good luck!

  2. Work out is truly fun and interesting, I am doing daily exercise because I want to reduce some weight for an healthy width….

  3. It’s understandable since I also have been there, done that but some other time I feel tempting to cheat on diet and workout…what you do is really inspiring to me, I wish I can do that just like you do, too! thank for sharing!! :)
