I received the Safe Sporter Bottle to review and was psyched because we do so many outdoor activities and you can never have too many travel water bottles. This is a great bottle because it’s made of stainless steel instead of plastic. As we mom’s know plastic bottles can be tricky with all the BPA issues out there and glass can be alittle scary in the hands of toddlers so stainless steel is the perfect go to.
Kid Basix offers the:
- Safe Starter- perfect as a baby bottle
- Safe Sippy – perfect for young toddlers just off the baby bottle
- Safe Sippy 2 – same as the Safe Sippy only with 3 additional features like a travel plug, dust cap and straw adapter
- Safe Sporter – great for older kids as a water bottle (think soccer or sports fields)
The Safe Sporter has a dust cap that closes tight over the spout and keeps it clean. It has a nice rubber coaster and sleeve to make it comfortable to hold and great for not leaving rings on tables. One of my favorite features is it’s wide mouth. I can easily clean out the bottle with a sponge instead of needing a special bottle brush. As you know the easier an item is the more apt we are to actually use it. My son loves having his own bottle and the blue color fits him perfectly. It does come in several colors and two sizes. They have a 12 oz and 16 oz size bottle.
As you can see from the picture we take the bottle everywhere; even on vacation. I like throwing the bottle in the cooler because stainless steel stays really cold and this bottle has never leaked on us.

Hey Kristina, funny I was just thinking we needed to get Sophia another water bottle and was wanting a stainless steel version. Her plastic one is camelbak and it’s npa but don’t like plastic. Our favorites are the Safe Sporter 16oz for lunch box, and the one for soccer, the larger one. My preference is purple lol but it’s for her so we’d get red her favorite color. Love your blog hon
Hi Kristina! These are fantastic! We have a crazy collection of water bottles, but never seem to have enough, especially now, with three of our boys playing baseball! The large ones would have to be our favorite in any color. Lovin’ your blog!
