I’m a huge believer in sunscreen for my families skin and have always worn sunglasses to help protect my eyes. With summer right around the corner it seems especially important to protect their eyes. So you can imagine how excited I was when I found Real Kids Shades. As you can see from the picture my kids loved their glasses and felt super cool.
There are two basic styles – one with soft bands and ones with standard frames. What makes the frames extra special is how flexible they are and durable which is great for rough little hands. The soft bands are bouyant neoprene bands with not metal hinges or pointed edges. They also float so if they fall into the lake they won’t get lost. Both style of glasses have 100% UVA/UVB protective lenses that are made out of polycarbonate. The flexi frames wrap around to also protect the peripheral sight. They have really thought of everything.
I definitely want to point out that these are real sunglasses and just because they are for kids they shouldn’t be mistaken for toys. The glasses can even be fitted with prescription lens if needed! The age range for these glasses goes from 0-12 and have so many different styles that every kid will find something that they will love. With Easter coming up these would make great gifts instead of a ton of candy. Love that!
