I was given the opportunity to review the new 2013 Kia Sorento and fell in love. Seriously love. It was a beautiful car. My heart raced when the Sorento drove up into my driveway. I mean it was this wonderful was Titanium Silver my favorite color. How perfect was that? Now to talk facts instead of just pretty colors and feelings.
The Kia Sorento got crazy good gas mileage. 22 city and 32 hwy – for this big crossover. Wow!! This beauty also starts out at only $23k.
My Sorento came fully loaded. It had leather seats, Sirus XM radio, 2 FM channels, cup holders everywhere you looked and 2 sunroofs. Yes I said 2 sunroofs. That was my kids favorite aspect of the car. They loved looking out of their sunroof. The one in the back didn’t open which was for the best since who knows what they might have thrown out of it.
I loved the trunk area of the Sorento. It was large. I was also surprised to see that there were an additional 2 seats back there. My father-in-law broke his foot and we had to cart him around a few times. Having the extra seats in the back made that so much easier and frankly possible. My son sat in his booster seat all of the way in the back and thought he was something else. Even way back there passengers still have the option to control their temperature and had cup holders. There is a nice shade that when the seats are down you can draw closed. This would be perfect at Christmas time when you didn’t want the world or a nosey little one seeing everything that you purchased.
The thing that was so neat about the Sorento were all of the little touches they added to the car. In the front there are 2 phone chargers. How many of us are always fighting with our special hubby to charge our smart phone. With the Sorento there’s no fighting we each have our own. We also have our own climate controls. My husband was able to keep his side much cooler and I kept mine at a comfortable temperature. This car came with a feature I had never seen before. It had both a driver seat warmer and cooler! Loved the cooler.
My seat adjusted in about a billion ways. My husband brought up the fact that we were both very comfortable in this car. I can’t tell you how often we get into a car and one of us is miserable.
We both really loved this Kia and if I could have figured out how to “review” it longer I really would have. You know for several months or years to get a true feel and review for this. :)
